Woods access is open again in parts of Nova Scotia. The province-wide burn ban stays in place until October 15 (or until conditions improve). Fines for breaking restrictions or the burn ban are $25,000.

Woods access open:
Cape Breton, Richmond, Victoria, Inverness, Guysborough, Antigonish, Halifax.

Where woods restrictions still apply:
Pictou, Colchester, Cumberland, Hants, Lunenburg, Kings, Annapolis, Queens, Shelburne, Digby, Yarmouth.

People in the 7 open counties can enter and use the woods again.
The open-fire ban is still province-wide. No campfires, brush burning, or backyard fire pits—anywhere.
