After meeting a few people on the Blue Hill Coach road lately we have heard a few concerns with the the pink survey markers. Are they building new homes? Is this the width of the road?
We commissioned WSP SURVEYING to survey the 66ft right of way which is the Blue Hill Coach trail. The trail itself will made with crusher dust and will have a max width of 3meters.
Some dangerous trees, which were blown over in various storms will have to be removed for safety reasons. However, the actual trail will, for the most part, follow the stage coach trail which has been used for over 200 years.
There is also some debris on the trail which will require clean up.
The trail is a real gem though. There are a number of old growth stands of Hemlock and Oak as well as many interesting rock formations.
