Skerry Brook’s lower reaches remain healthy, offering potential for targeted habitat improvements. While upper sections pose restoration challenges, future work may focus on enhancing downstream flow with low-impact rock sills.

About the Stream:

Skerry Brook was assessed in 2018 and found to be in good condition on the downstream end, but degraded in the upper section near Highway 118. Issues included stagnant water, debris build-up, and streambed alteration caused by ATV activity and outdated culverts.
